2026 CR-V Hybrid
The refreshed CR-V Hybrid continues to provide what buyers in this segment desire most – and for 2026, it’s doing so with greater fuel economy and more refinement than ever. Built on Honda’s legacy of longevity, value, and versatility, the 2026 CR-V Hybrid is positioned for drivers who want to reduce their fuel costs without compromise. It presents a well-rounded balance of efficiency and power, while its seating for five, generous cargo capacity, 13 standard Honda Sensing technologies, and available all-wheel drive make it especially appealing to young families.
This latest CR-V Hybrid offers more than just incremental improvements. New for 2026, all trims now come with a 9-inch color touchscreen, wireless versions of Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, and a wireless charging pad. A new 10.2-inch digital gauge display on select trims further modernizes the cabin, and the debut of the TrailSport trim introduces subtle off-road styling cues and standard all-wheel drive for those with a more adventurous routine. It’s worth mentioning that Honda also made improvements to the AWD’s traction management system.

Trims and Powertrains
The ‘26 CR-V Hybrid comes in a quartet of trims: Sport, TrailSport, Sport-L, and Sport Touring. They all use a hybrid setup that pairs an in-line 4-cylinder engine with two electric motors and a high-voltage battery. Together, this system produces 204 horsepower and 247 lb.-ft. of torque. The Sport and Sport-L have front-wheel drive (FWD) by default, but they’re eligible for the all-wheel drive (AWD) that comes standard on the TrailSport and Sport Touring. Regardless of the driveline, the CR-V Hybrid uses an electronic continuously variable transmission with B-Range shift and deceleration selectors to optimize performance and efficiency.
The standard drive mode selector offers four dynamic settings — Sport, Normal, Econ, and Snow — for customized performance depending on conditions. The Sport Touring adds a mode called Individual. Fuel economy varies by drivetrain and trim, with 2WD CR-V Hybrids achieving an EPA-estimated 43 mpg in the city and 36 mpg on the highway, while most AWD versions return 40 mpg city/34 mpg highway. The TrailSport dips a tad to 38 mpg city/33 mpg highway.
Standard Features
The Sport has some exterior highlights that help it earn its name, including dual chrome exhaust finishers, gloss black 18-inch alloy wheels, a power moonroof, LED headlights, LED taillights, and black roof rails. Inside, this base trim has heated fronts seats, dual-zone automatic climate control, a 10-way power-adjustable driver’s seat, rear-seat heater ducts, a wireless phone charger, four USB ports (two front/two rear), a 7-inch TFT meter display, a leather-wrapped steering wheel and shift knob, ambient LED lighting (white), and LED cargo area lights. Drivers will appreciate its standard conveniences, such as Smart Entry with Walk Away Auto Lock and remote engine start with climate control.
The TrailSport takes on a more rugged persona with all-terrain tires on 18-inch Shark Gray alloy wheels, along with gloss-black door handles, amber LED lighting, a heated leather-wrapped steering wheel, an automatic-dimming rearview mirror, a 10.2-inch digital instrument cluster, and a power tailgate with programmable height. The Sport-L introduces a host of upgrades, including leather upholstery, driver’s-seat memory settings, and a 4-way power-adjustable front passenger seat. At the top of the range, the Sport Touring has a hands-free power tailgate, rain-sensing wipers, and 19-inch gloss-black alloy wheels.
Advanced Safety Technology
Every ‘26 CR-V Hybrid is standard equipped with Honda Sensing, a comprehensive set of driver-assist and active safety technologies. This suite includes adaptive cruise control with low-speed follow, auto high-beam headlights, a blind-spot information system, cross-traffic monitoring, collision mitigation braking, a driver attention monitor, forward collision warning, lane keeping assist, lane departure warning, road departure mitigation, a rear seat reminder, traffic jam assist, and traffic sign recognition. All trims also have the acoustic vehicle alerting system, which is designed to increase pedestrian awareness via artificial sounds due to the nature of the CR-V Hybrid’s quiet powertrain. The Sport-L alone gets front/rear parking sensors and low-speed braking control, for the ultimate maneuverability in tight spaces and congested traffic.
Staying Connected and Entertained
A 9-inch color touchscreen anchors the cabin’s multimedia setup for every ‘26 CR-V Hybrid trim. Standard tech across the lineup includes wireless Android Auto, wireless Apple CarPlay, Bluetooth streaming audio, access to HondaLink connected services, and a Wi-Fi hotspot. The Sport has a 240-watt sound system with six speakers, while the TrailSport upgrades to an eight-speaker, 320-watt setup. At the height of both multimedia and connectivity is the Sport Touring with Google built-in, HD Radio, and a Bose premium sound system with 12 speakers and a subwoofer.
