2025 Honda Ridgeline
Over the years, the Honda Ridgeline has carved out a unique position. Its crossover-based platform delivers a smooth ride compared to traditional pickups, but the spacious cargo bed provides more hauling versatility than the cargo area in most utility vehicles. Other less “trucky” pickups have come to market but are considerably more compact. The Ridgeline remains the only midsized choice in this category.
For 2025, the Ridgeline once again displays vigorous styling, a family-friendly interior, and robust capability. A top five-star overall safety rating from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) and the standard Honda Sensing suite of advanced driver aids are there to raise the driver’s confidence. For those who lean toward off-road adventure, the TrailSport trim is the best for going beyond the pavement.

Trims and Powertrain
To give truck buyers ample choices, Honda offers four trim packages for the 2025 Ridgeline: Sport, RTL, TrailSport, and Black Edition. Under the hood, they all have a 280-horsepower 3.5-liter V6 engine. A nine-speed automatic transmission manages the standard all-wheel-drive system. Most Ridgeline trims are EPA-rated as achieving 18 mpg in city driving and 24 mpg on the highway (23 mpg highway for the TrailSport). Towing caps out at an impressive 5,000 pounds, with a payload limit of 1,509 to 1,583 pounds, depending on the trim.
Standard Features
While the Sport starts the Ridgeline’s trim range with fabric upholstery, it’s otherwise far from a base edition. It has remote start, three zones of automatic climate control, proximity keyless entry, push-button start, LED low-beam headlights with auto on/off, LED fog lights, rear privacy glass, a tilt-and-telescopic steering column, a 7-inch driver information display, power side mirrors, dual USB ports, wireless device charging, and 18-inch alloy wheels. This pickup’s high functionality is evident thanks to a dual-action tailgate, a 60/40 split lift-up rear seat with underseat storage, an in-bed trunk, a Class III trailer hitch with a seven-pin connector, and cargo bed lighting and tie-down points.
The RTL takes a leap toward luxury with leather upholstery, a power moonroof, heated front seats, a ten-way power driver's seat with lumbar controls, a driver's position memory system, and a four-way power-adjustable front passenger seat. Some other nice touches are a power-sliding rear window, heated power side-view mirrors, sound-reducing windshield glass, a leather-wrapped steering wheel, and an auto-dimming rearview mirror.
The TrailSport is the rugged Ridgeline with an off-road-tuned suspension engineered not to sacrifice on-road comfort. Steel underbody protection and all-terrain tires reinforce its adventure-ready credentials. Its other standard equipment includes leatherette upholstery, a heated leather-wrapped steering wheel, heater power side mirrors with a power-folding feature, LED ambient cabin lighting, and LED daytime running lights. The Black Edition takes the RTL further upscale with heated and ventilated front seats, heated rear outboard seats, LED daytime running lights, power-folding heated power side-view mirrors, LED ambient cabin lighting, LED cargo-bed lighting, a cargo-bed power outlet, and an additional pair of USB ports in the second row.
Advanced Driver Aids and Safety Technology
The standard Honda Sensing driver-assist system consists of forward collision warning, collision mitigation braking, road departure mitigation, blind-spot monitoring, cross-traffic monitoring, lane departure warning, lane-keeping assist, adaptive cruise control, and automatic high beams. The TrailSport and Black Edition have front and rear parking sensors. All trims also get a set of airbags plus anti-lock brakes, stability control, traction control, hill start assist, and a rearview monitor with dynamic guidelines.
Infotainment and Connectivity
The Ridgeline’s occupants access multimedia features through a 9-inch touchscreen infotainment system that’s set up with wireless Android Auto, wireless Apple CarPlay, and Bluetooth. Navigation is on the equipment list for the TrailSport and Black Edition; all but the Sport receive SiriusXM satellite radio. All Ridgelines have access to HondaLink remote services. A seven-speaker audio system is the default, but the Black Edition gets an upgraded system with eight speakers.
